On first launch, enter your plan's data limit (in GB) and your billing cycle start date. DataTracker will begin tracking automatically from that point.
Long-press your home screen → tap the + button → search DataTracker → add the widget. The widget refreshes in the background; open the app once to trigger the first update.
DataTracker reads cumulative cellular bytes from your device. If your carrier resets or you restart your phone mid-cycle, there may be a brief spike. Use Add Usage in settings to correct the current total.
The icon updates automatically when your usage crosses a tier threshold. Open the app to trigger a refresh.
